Bowler Hats and Jazz Hands = James Blunt

On a Sunday morning when the hazy sun rises and work begins Thursday seem like a year away, but as the fast moving city of Dubai sweeps one through, I surprisingly find it's the weekend.

This Thursday was particularly exciting as a guy who quickly became a U.K heart throb for touching young girls hearts with his chart topping ' Your Beautiful' , landed in Dubai for its annual Jazz Festival.

James Blunt is his name and writing music is his game!

Lucky enough to have seen him play live before at Glasto - I wondered how he would perform in the sand pit of the UAE. The night was somewhat more chilled than the festival that I dream of most nights, how ever the less rowdy event made the talented musicians perfect pitched tones even more electric.

He played a mixture of old and new.. one of my favourite being - ' I'll be your man'.

The night ended with an encore and when the crowd had finally calmed distant cries of ' 1973' could still be heard.

Backstage after the event I managed to chat with the star for a bit and was taken a back by his kindness and time to speak to those around him. What a magical evening !

The weekend is creeping up on us and the sun beams are getting stronger...so whats been going on?

What a week ! With the death of a legend .. best known for her performance below, many may start to wonder who we are going to lose next?

Whitney Housten - I will always love you

As this news swamped papers and online journals , talents around the globe had to put on a brave face as the Grammys took place.
Winners included Bon Iver, The Foo Fighters, Taylor Swift and Rhianna, but proud to be British, Adele swept the board scooping up SIX awards.

As per usual all eyes were on the red carpet to the celeb who could pull off the best dressed of the night. Rhianna I think personally swept the board by a mile how ever Kelly Osbourne who seems to have finally pulled her self together was close behind...
Controversial on the other hand was Fergie.. who seem to have gone for the revealing look along side Nicky Minaj.. who whether or not she was grieving for Whitney seem to have taking the fancy dress approach.

Evening wonderful creatures..

I am sorry I have been particularly bad at updating this month .. due to a new job.. HEAPS of events and general wackness.. actually looking forward to a evening in with Kourtney and Kim!!

I thought I would share with you this evening one of my fashion obsessions..kind of a crush if you want to put it that way..

Mary-Kate Olsen - fashionista,designer and actress..

My love for Mary-Kate first started in the early stages of her career when I used to rush home from school age 8 to watch ' Two of a Kind '. Since then she and her sister Ashley have taken the world by storm .. most recently for their fashion collections .. Elizabeth and James .. but my favourite being The Row.

The Row I feel is the perfect contrast between unique and chic and is becoming more and more established in the fashion world.. check out a few items in their collection below.

As well as The Row I am also very fond of Mary-Kates personal style, often slated by critics for being a hit and miss, I love her hobo but on trend look she always manages to pull. Although I must admit sometimes it can be to the extreme.

Catch of the week - Zaeem Jamal

Having recently started a new job I had the amazing opportunity of going down to Rivaage Boutique, a newly launched store in Sunset Mall, Dubai to have sneak preview of the venue and some of their unique but gorgeous designers.

Whilst browsing the shop my colleague Katie and I were lucky enough to have a brief encounter with Zaeem Jamal himself who chatted to us for a while about the amazing concept of his designs.

As discussed in previous posts I am a great believer in meditation and spirits and how they can change your mind set and make you feel healthier and more alive.

Zaeem shared with us about how his new collection in store is inspired by colour and the Chakra system and what you should feel whilst wearing the garments, although some may only like the clothing because it's pretty, others will believe that wearing the item will change the way you feel.

Hope you all had a fabadoo Christmas and New Year, I certainly did...
